Q: Isn’t dry cleaning the best way to clean Nomex?
A: Molecule™ now makes machine-washing the best way to
clean Nomex® racing suits. Occasional dry cleaning is
acceptable, but the expense and effort are no longer
necessary.
Q: Will Molecule Protector reduce the fire rating of my
suit?
A: Molecule™ Protector creates a durable protective
coating without affecting the suit’s fire rating.
Q: Will my racing suit still breathe after I spray it
with Molecule Protector?
A: Molecule™ Protector is designed to adhere to each
individual fiber of Nomex® fabric in a micro-layer of
fluorochemical. It will not clog fabric pores. Your suit
will breathe as well as it did when it was brand new.
Q: Will drying on high heat harm my racing suit?
A: Nomex® fabric was engineered to withstand
temperatures near 700˚F. Residential dryers operate at
well under 200˚F and will not harm the fabric.
Q: Why is Molecule Wash better than regular detergent?
A: Molecule™ Wash was designed for the unique soils of
racing environments. Ordinary detergents also contain
additives that can attract moisture, oils, and flammable
stains.
Q: How often should I use Molecule Protector?
A: Thoroughly reapply Molecule™ Protector after 6 to 8
wash cycles. For ultimate protection, apply a light
spray coating after every wash cycle. If you
occasionally have your racing suit dry-cleaned,
thoroughly reapply Molecule™ Protector after. Always dry
your suit on high heat after applying Molecule™
Protector.
Q: Can I use Molecule Refresher on my Nomex® underwear?
A: Molecule™ Refresher was developed with
cosmetic-grade, skin-friendly ingredients. It is
recommended for use on all layers of protective
clothing.
